voleybalr6
Hello, I am new to Whole 30 and cannot wait to start! (actually super excited) I would love any tips/advice/motivation/etc. that anyone has to offer! I am very active and already eat fairly clean (as best as I can with the college dining hall and my own groceries). I am hoping to have more energy throughout my long days, get rid of sweets cravings, feel less bloated daily, lose a few extra pounds, and just feel good overall! Thank you so much and I hope that everyone else's challenges are going well so far! Jocelyn
SweatyBetty
Good luck! This website has a ton of information about getting started so use as much as you can! A big factor for success is planning. plan your meals and you will enjoy the program so much! I plan my meals on paper so I know what groceries to buy and this really takes the guess work out of what to eat for each meal. Don't be tempted to step on the scale during the 30 days. It's not about weight loss - it's about improving overall health! Watch for non scale victories like improved sleep, mind is more clear, skin is healthier, improved moods. It's these things that are so much more important than a number on a scale. I'm looking forward to watching your progress!!
voleybalr6
ON DAY 7 and everything is going so well! I wish I would have started Whole 30 years ago! The only hiccup so far was that I realized there was a minimal amount of sugar added into something very small that I had eaten on day 1 or day 2, (don't remember), but I figured it was nothing large enough for me to have to start over! If all else fails, I will do Whole 40 or something haha I think I could totally go longer if necessary. Mom is already telling me I look smaller....hopefully she isn't just saying that! *****If anyone has an overnight breakfast I can make and take with me to my early classes that would be very helpful! Thanks and hope all of your challenges are going well!
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted March 8, 2016 Moderators Share Posted March 8, 2016 *****If anyone has an overnight breakfast I can make and take with me to my early classes that would be very helpful! Google Whole30 breakfast to go and you should find a ton of past discussions on this. The easiest is probably frittatas or egg muffins or breakfast casserole (really, just throw eggs, veggies, and if you want, some meat, in a baking pan of some sort and bake it until the eggs are done), any of which are good cold if you don't have time to heat them, or can be heated pretty quickly. (If you have one, and have time, they'll be better heated in a toaster oven than in a microwave.) Other good options are meatballs, leftovers, or, if you have a crockpot, even stews or chilis cooked overnight in that so that they're hot when you're ready to get up in the morning.
