Riss05
I am so frustrated, somehow I did not notice before now that my raisins contain sulfites. I have been eating them off and on for the past 19 days. Other than this, no slip ups. Do I really need to make this a whole 49? I think that might be too discouraging. What impacts could this have? GFChris
Yeah, tough lesson learned in the importance of reading every.single.ingredient.label. Dried fruit is suspect for sulfites, sugar/sweetener, off-plan oils, etc. Unfortunately, we don't have a crystal ball, so we can't tell you how consuming sulfites affects your results. If a restart feels overwhelming, another option is to drop those raisins for the rest of your Whole30, and postpone the reintroduction of sulfites until you've had them out of your system for 30 consecutive days. NeedAllTheFries
Wait, is that an ingredient that's listed, or a naturally occurring thing? I've been eating these: http://www.woodstock-foods.com/content/woodstock-product-description?p=4256300812#showand the only ingredient is 'raisins'. Moderators SugarcubeOD Posted April 14, 2016 Moderators Share Posted April 14, 2016 If the only ingredient is raisins or grapes, then you're fine... sulphites are naturally occuring in grapes... if it's LISTED on the ingredient list, then they're out...
