nutmegh 33
Well then, I finished my 3rd Whole30 one week ago and last Friday, I took a test and there she was, the second solid pink line on the pregnancy test! After about 5 preggo tests later I'm still trying to manage my shock. Good shock! This is our third baby. We thought we'd give it one last go, thinking because I have endometriosis, it may take some time. Well, it happened with our second child that we got pregnant doing a Whole30, and now again the month after I'm off birth control and we start trying. This, after my first baby was IVF because I was told I'd have less than a 5% chance of ever concieving on my own. We are convinced it is really all about what you eat! Now, on to more practical matters, the last time I finished the Whole30 when I became pregnant, my morning sickness and food aversions kicked in pretty quick and I pretty much fell face first back into bagels and cream cheese, etc. This time I'm more aware but I'm a bit anxious of these aversions rearing their ugly little heads and pulling me off the paleo/whole30 track. Any other mothers out there have good suggestions/advice at getting around these aversions and staying mostly compliant? I'm not doing a Whole30 at the moment, just trying to maintain the goodness and eating well ~85% of the time.

ladamo 0
Congratulations! I would recommend checking out Vitamin Code Raw Prenatal. It has ginger in it (and a bunch of other good stuff), which I think might be part of the reason I had so little morning sickness with my first. I remember a day where I was feeling rather nauseous for a few hours then remembered I hadn't taken my prenatals that day or the day before (vacation absentmindedness), took them and felt better pretty quickly, even during a cab ride and hours long plane ride. I went back and looked and noticed some other reviewers found it helpful in that way too. I will warn you though, the pills are a little stinky. Good luck!
Wlc81 0
Hi I am on day 6 of my first whole30 and found out I am 6 weeks pregnant. With my first pregnancy I had severe nausea nothing would cure. I really really want to complete this whole30. Yesterday I had that...watery mouth, queasy, want to dive into a basket of salty chips and guac feeling. I am overweight and about 50-60 lbs heavier than when I conceived with my first child. I was so not planning this and really wanted to have "myself together" before doing this again. Our daughter is about to turn 7 and I'm 34 so my clock was ticking but I figured I'd try for another at the end of this year. Well God and my husband had other plans. I'll take any advice. At least now I know why hardly anything has "hit the spot" since starting my whole30.
KTH1010 41
I will be following! I am 16 weeks with baby 3and I've had a horrible time with diet this time. I don't really have the aversions issue anymore but as soon as I go whole30, within 4-5 days I fall off the wagon because anything compliant becomes abhorrent and I order pizza. Eugh. I really want to stick to a plan because I am sick of feeling so crappy. Our weather has also been particularly, record-breakingly horrible this winter (think months on end of dark gray rain day in and day out- I've seen maybe 4 days of sunshine since Christmas) so I know that's contribution to my malaise.
