AmyC.
Hi everyone. My husband and I are half way through day 9 of our Whole30. We started on March 1st. Our first week went ok, as I am not a cook! I'm learning. The whole purpose of us doing this journey, was ultimately, to lose a few pounds but I secretly want to get my husband on a healthier path. He tore his Achilles almost 2 years ago and hasn't been able to run or work out like we used to. He didn't change his eating habits and with not working out, he has gained some weight. I, of course have also gained weight in this process (being supportive!!). His job is extremely stressful right now which isn't helping the situation. He has asthma and listening to him sleep was getting worrisome. I have just turned 50 and know that losing weight is not as easy as it used to be. We also have a 4 year old, so I would like to be healthy enough to be around with her for a long time! So after our first week, we both are sleeping so much better and my husband isn't snoring like he used to. His breathing is more normal during his sleep and he sounds peaceful. I've definitely gotten more energy to get through the day without a nap! I'm looking forward to what the rest of the month will do for us both. All I know, is that we will be much healthier and enlightened at the end. Reading a lot of these posts has helped. Thanks for sharing your experiences.
