IamSteffySue
I am so tired of eggs. All I want is oatmeal for breakfast. I know I can't have it, but I think I found a recipe on Pinterest that will satisfy me in the mornings. Warm Banana Coconut Breakfast Bowl 2 bananas 1/2 c. coconut milk (ingredients attached) 1/4 c. pecans 1/8 c. shredded coconut 1 tsp. cinnamon Serve warm I suppose I could eat some bacon to ensure I get protein for this meal. Please let me know if this meal is compliant. Steffy Sue
Moderators Tom Denham Posted March 24, 2016 Moderators Share Posted March 24, 2016 No. Feeding your cravings is how you keep a bad relationship with food. And this recipe is crap for a Whole30. Think about it. You are asking if you can eat fruit and fat for breakfast... no protein, no veggies. No. We want you to eat animal protein and veggies. Adding a side of bacon is no help. Bacon is best treated as fat during a Whole30. Its protein is marginal and its fat is high.
CaGirl
I love how you cut to the chase and dont "sugar" coat anything.. You lay it on the line and it make very clear with out taking up space typing a bunch of unnecessary mumbo jumbo.. YOUR POSTS ARE THE BEST TO READ TOM!!!!!! Moderators ShannonM816 Posted March 24, 2016 Moderators Share Posted March 24, 2016 Instead of what you've listed here, make yourself a creamy soup (this is a good recipe), have it with some grilled chicken or some meatballs, or even find some compliant sausages (always check your labels, but Applegate Farms and Bilinski brands both make some), chop it up and add it to the soup. Have a side of something like this breakfast salad or this snap pea salad for some extra veggies. Or just have leftovers. Here's a whole thread of non-egg breakfasts, or google Whole30 no egg breakfast for more.
LucieB
It also helps to think about it as your first meal of the day or M1, instead of the oatmeal/cereal/pastry/toast/etc breakfast you're used to. I will eat anything for breakfast that I'd eat for lunch or dinner. Eggs occasionally but I'll eat eggs for any meal, too. And those fruit-fat bowl recipes sound awful. Know how people joke about brunch and brinner (breakfast for lunch and breakfast for dinner)? We need words for lunch at breakfast and dinner at breakfast. I mean besides M1, M2, and M3. Ideas? MeadowLily
A side of bacon. Some have a way with words and others have not way...or whey, weigh. Can I weigh in on M1, M2, and M3. Someone really likes 1, 2, and 3. It helps them. I stick with the uzhe. We are unique butterflies and snowflakes.

mlb0320
I found a great breakfast by accident (needed to grab something fast on my way out the door). I took a baked sweet potato and a handful of slivered almonds. Heat up the potato and use a fork to smash it up, stir in almonds. Amazing! LucieB
Sorry but the sweet potato almond sounds like an awful breakfast. No protein. Or veggies. And lots of sugar. If you have time to heat up a potato, instead reheat some leftovers, heat done frozen veggies, if you like eggs do a few of those.
