Pumpkin Seeds

Recommended Posts

My first Whole30 experience I didn't really follow the "limit nuts & seeds" rule, because I was making a major change and was experiencing what can only be described as withdrawal symptoms (probably from sugar) as early as day 2.

But this time I decided I was going to limit my seed and nut intake. I did, however, reward myself with a few pumpkin seeds the other day, and shouted aloud when I realized that pumpkin seeds have 12 grams of protein per serving.

What is this magic? I feel like that is an absurd amount of protein according to size. Anyone have any foods that startled you like that?
