LdubP
What Laura said! I don't know if it's that "want what you can't have" situation... but I can't stop thinking about food!!! Trying to keep busy! Reception at a work event tonight will be the first test.. Hoping I can power through it!!

MelissaGordon
so far so good.....i have no issues with the eating of the food....i love it all, it keeps me full and im not bored. I am not craving anything but today i did have 1 desire for something sweet (i used to eat chocolate after every meal). Feel like my endurance is not where it was. anyone else? MarleneRenee
The food is certainly keeping me satiated - I have not had a growling belly at all! No cravings yet, either. However, I just ran into the grocery store for some cheesecloth to make some ghee and it was in the baking isle. I could smell the marshmallows when I went by and they smelled good! In my head I was saying, "Just keep walking. Don't look. You don't want that. You want WHOLE FOODS that are GOOD for your body!" Hahaha!

scm223
Hi! i started my first Whole30 on the 12th too! I'm hungry all the time but I'm used to grazing all day long. Hopefully that will even out soon. I already eat lots of fruits and veggies but also lots of carbs and sugars. (and wine) I'm feeling great and have lots of energy, enough to walk my dogs after work, then cook, clean the kitchen and prep for tomorrow. MelissaGordon
Good day all! So day 4 for this chicky...finally drinking some bone broth today....it tastes great (i was worried it wouldnt). I have a new found love for omelets too. Going to make the stuffed red pepper dish tonight with ground turkey. Finished up my butternut squash soup...i really enjoyed that too (made it with coconut oil). My friend said coconut oil is also sold flavorless---i love coconut flavor, but it just doesnt work in some dishes.
LdubP
Hi guys! How is everyone doing? Today is Day 4 for me and I am shocked because I thought I would have the day 2-4 "hangover" but I feel amazing!!! My head feels clear and I have been multitasking up a storm. Hoping this doesn't mean that I will have a reaction later. I have a feeling that I'm going to need to get creative soon.. Been doing a lot of hard boiled eggs and avocado and I can see it getting monotonous at some point. Anyone want to share what they've been eating? Melissa- that stuffed pepper sounds great! My husband and I made these (http://www.primallyinspired.com/buffalo-ranch-stuffed-peppers/) this week and they were awesome!! Marlene- I gave myself the same pep talk when purchasing cupcakes for a co-workers birthday today... They are sitting within reach and I am discovering the true meaning of self-control. scm223
Day 4 is about done and it's going great! Finally was able to make it through the day without snacking, black coffee is tasting better and I'm now used to cooking without a glass of wine. MelissaGordon
the coconut curry shrimp dish was delish! highly recommend it. Day 6! My 9 year old son and I are doing a 5k Color the Cat Marathon this morning. Gratefully for a sunny morning and warmer temp. (in PA we get all 4 seasons in 1 day). Making the Chicken Cacciatore meal tonight and the cabbage slaw. My kids really liked the ground turkey mixture in the red pepper dish, so i may make the spaghetti squash with the meat like that and see how that turns out. MelissaGordon
so guys i messed up yesterday....my kids baked cookies and i couldn't resist. i had a tiny piece of one, then that led to half, which led to the whole piece. Then since i already had to start over, i continued to eat about 5 more. Then since I messed up this far, i weighed myself. i have lost 5 pounds!! I can't tell you how motivating that is to say F U COOKIES!! and I will happily start at day 1 again! I hope everyone is stronger than me!
[email protected]
Hi all! I also started on the 12th, and have only "cheated" with sugar free gum to the best of my knowledge. It's strange the things I thought I'd miss that I don't, and vice versa. I don't miss the desserty stuff as much as CHEESE! I always thought that I liked veggies well enough, but without a sprinkling of feta, it's been a bit of a reintroduction to the real deal. I used to drink a glass of red wine a day (was a bit of a ritual) and was the most nervous about missing that after work. No slips yet. What's funny, is that the hardest rule for me to adhere to, is the bit about "no weighing yourself". I've weighed myself every day since middle school and MAN is it hard to give up that daily number. I also work in a medical clinic where there are scales everywhere I turn! If I weigh in at the end of all of this and haven't lost a single pound, I'm going to come completely undone! Good luck all~

LdubP
Hi friends! Anyone still hanging in there?? Day 23 here and having a serious 24 hour headache right now. Had a coma-like sleep last night and still haven't kicked it. Cravings are pretty much all but gone, but I don't know if I've felt the "tiger blood" yet... I've been feeling very tired this week, but it could just be due to my schedule right now. How's everyone doing?
[email protected]
I'm still in! I'm having crazy dreams all the time which I then wake up to ponder. Therefore am usually somewhat sleep deprived. My only real craving has been a really good, really dark chocolate mocha. Mother's day may be the true test however, as I usually enjoy some wine while in the company of my mother. Only one week left! Kristyn p.s. Has anyone cheated and weighed themselves?
MarleneRenee
Hey LdubP!! I'm still in it!! Day 24 for me!! I'm glad to hear from someone else! I've been doing well. No cravings, at least no strong ones - nothing that I can't handle. I miss some foods . . . like I would love some bacon with my eggs! 98% of the time feeling full and satiated. I suspect the occasional times I'm feeling hungry that I didn't get enough fat at the previous meal. My energy has been pretty consistent throughout my days. Although, I can't say I've experienced the Tiger Blood. A huge bad habit that I am tackling during this 30 days is SLEEP. I'm a life-long night owl. I stay up until midnight - 12:30 and typically get 6 hours (give or take) of sleep a night. I have really been trying to get to bed between 10-10:30. When I go to bed at midnight, I fall asleep very quickly; when I go to bed earlier, it takes me a little while to fall asleep. I'm probably asleep by 11:00 The annoying problem is . . . since about the second week into this, I am waking up between 5:00-5:45 freakin' AM!!! So I'm STILL not getting the 8 hours that I'm trying so hard to get because I'm not sleeping until my alarm! It's quite frustrating. I've assumed the reason I'm not feeling the Tiger Blood is because I'm not getting all the sleep I should. I'm looking forward to seeing how my body reacts to the foods we will be reintroducing this month. My birthday is next Wednesday, Day 31 for me. I get to celebrate my birthday with legumes! MarleneRenee
I weighed myself once at the end of the first week. I've resisted since then. I'm eager to see the number at the end. My clothing is definitely fitting more comfortably!
