Hi !!

Im new to the group and on day two. I tried whole 30 a few years ago when the first book came out and quit halfway through. I DID go on to lose weight and get fitter but Im ready to try again after "life took over" and Im not eating as well as I was and have gained the weight back. I didn't think Whole 30 would be this hard lol because I love lean meat and veggies!!! It has been a challenge tho to give up the nightly glass or two of wine and snacking ! I love eggs tho so yay for breakfast lol!! I also love that avocado is legal on the plan! I love them but am always afraid of eating too much. I am tracking food on my fit bit. Mostly to see what the correlation is to types of food and my mood, satiety etc.

Please do not track your food on a fitbit or any other calorie counting robot. If you would like to track, there's a Whole30 log on this forum that you can start and track your food, mood, satiety etc... it doesn't calculate anything, it requires that you listen to your body, which is what Whole30 is trying to help you learn... tracking your calories, weight, macros or anything else trackable is outside the spirit of the Whole 30.

Prairietn,

Congrats to both of us on Day 2!  I also gave up logging food in fitbit.  I thought about it several times, then I started a daily log in the Whole 30 log forum where I mention the food I eat and also talk about how I feel.  There's something nice about writing a diary entry.  I've never done anything like that before.  Also, go for it with the avocado.  I had a whole avocado, last night, which made me feel more full after a dinner or steak and spinach.  I plan to eat at least one per day.

Good luck, today!

Today is my day 2 as well! Woke up with a heck of a headache, but after breakfast it has subsided. So far, so good.

I keep a journal where I don't so much write down what I eat but keep track of how I'm feeling in the morning and in the evening and try to sum up how I think the day went.

Good luck to everyone!

Kari
