mldunkle
I am on day 25. At week 2, I felt like I was losing weight. I thought I could feel a difference in my clothes. I'm on day 25 and I feel like I have gained weight this past week. I actually think my stomach is larger and I feel bleh. I haven't weighed or measured and don't plan to until it is over. Is it normal to bloat this late in the game? I'm feeling super discouraged. Help!
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted April 15, 2016 Moderators Share Posted April 15, 2016 Bloating is possible at any point. If you're female, there could also be hormonal stuff going on depending on where you are in your cycle. It's also possible there's something you've eaten that is causing the bloating -- cruciferous vegetables like broccoli or cauliflower cause it for lots of people, eating too many nuts can cause it, raw vegetables, not drinking enough water. Does any of this sound possible? Is there something you've eaten that's new or something you're eating a lot more of than usual in the last week since this feeling started? mldunkle
Thank you for your response. I'm not near my period. The only thing that I could think of is that I might not be drinking enough water. Also, I've had jarred pasta sauce with ground chicken, mushrooms, and onions the past two days. This is a new meal for me. I've double checked that the ingredients are compliant.
mldunkle
The pasta sauce was Cadia organic tomato basil pasta sauce. It said produced in a facility that handles soy, wheat, dairy, etc...but I thought I read that that is ok.

This a legal requirement to warn those with severe allergies who may react via cross contamination. Unless it states any of these items on the ingredient list you are fine. The sauce could be high in sodium causing the bloat, or it could be something else you have eaten. If you could list out your meals for the last few days, with specific veg types etc, we would be better equipped to help you troubleshoot.
