It is exactly 40 days out from a big vacation I am taking with my fiancé (we are doing the challenge together) to visit our hometown in Michigan (we live in Arizona!) I have read the book and am looking forward to seeing if what I am eating is causing various health issues I have been dealing with for a long time! Hawk Posted April 26, 2016 Share Posted April 26, 2016 Hi bnlawson704. Great post. I'm starting May 1 as well for essentially the same reason. I finished a Whole30 in 2014 and it had a remarkably positive effect on my physical and emotional well being. Doing the challenge with your fiancé is going to make a huge difference. I did it with somebody I care about very much and it got me through it. Make a pact with each other to stay with it for the 30 days no matter what and you will have two people you don't want to let down when cravings come knocking. Looking forward to resetting my system and losing some extremely hard to lose weight. Good luck to all those starting soon or have already started. I really struggle with sugar and am looking forward to re-starting and detoxing my system and learning more about what my body likes and doesn't. I'm a little nervous about this about this adventure but with the help of my fiancé I think we will be able to successfully complete these 30 days and continue on with this healthy life style as we begin our lives together later in the summer!
