Starting off with challenges

Recommended Posts

Hello!

My friend introduced me to Whole30 in the last couple of weeks. Between my blood pressure being high for the first time ever, and my vitamin D being low, and I've had on/off autoimmune issues for awhile, I thought what the hell, I'll give it a try.

So I planned to start May 1st. Went shopping, bought a bunch of stuff, and then day 1, the cold hit. I'm not going to let it derail me. Luckily, I had several crock pot and casserole dishes for the next week.

Day 3 - still sick, fever back.

Meal 1 - Sausage & Sweet potato casserole - water and ice tea

Meal 2 - Chicken with cabbage and potatoes & OJ

Meal 3 - Beef roast with cauliflower

Not sure whether irritability is the cold or week 1, or combo of both

Turned out to be the flu and moved into my stomach and then a trip to the ER.

So, I've been compliant where I can be. My mom came over and portioned out and sealed all the food I had made for week 1.

Mostly better, but still not 100% and I have a cross country trip this weekend.

My plan now is to keep mostly on plan and restart fully next Tuesday when I get back. And then do a Whole45 until my next trip in the summer
