Started May 2nd, and struggling a bit

Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm new to the Whole30.  I started on May2nd, so this is my 5th day, and I'm struggling. I felt really crappy on day 3 (apparantly normal) and came down with a bad cold yesterday.  It's hard to keep motivation when I feel sick, and when I don't want to cook (because I feel sick).  I almost caved yesterday at the grocery store, because I wanted to buy some of my old
"comfort food."  But I didn't cave.

So has anyone gotten sick early in their Whole30? And if so, what helped (besides sticking with the program)? I'm sorry I'm whining...but I need some moral support right now.  I'd also love to be part of a group that started (or is starting) in early May.

I started on May 4th, and while I haven't gotten sick, I have eyeballed many of my beloved comfort foods longingly over the last couple of days... There's a group on here called "Because I forgot how precious my time here is" which started on May 1, but which I've tacked onto... its very helpful-- check it out if you have a chance.

I can't offer you much advice as I'm also still learning, but I can offer you moral support! Keep up the good work, you can do it!

Hi Andrea! Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well!! There is a thread going for people who started may 2nd also. Just look down the page some.

I felt really terrible day 3 and 4. Yesterday all I wanted to do was sleep and of course my toddler wouldn't nap! But then today I feel amazing! Like, I have more energy today than I have in a long time. So while I didn't get sick I guess my encouragement is to hang in there and hopefully you'll turn a corner soon. When I wasn't feeling up for cookig I ate leftovers.
