Cutting my Whole30 short for travel?

Hi everyone,

My partner and I are both on day 14 of our Whole30. We have a 4 day weekend away coming up right at the end of our Whole30 which would be the reintroduction phase. Obviously we will be wanting to indulge a little during this time but I am wondering how we could go about this. We are considering cutting our Whole30 down to 23 days allowing us enough time to reintroduce foods before we go. I don't want this rare trip to be clouded by constantly fretting over our food choices and also don't want to ruin it by potentially making ourselves sick with a food group that doesn't agree.

My question is, is 23 days long enough to reap the rewards of the Whole30?

Unfortunately, it is not enough... 30 days is really the minimum needed to get good results from the re-introductions.  I would suggest you go to Day 23, have your trip and then come back and do a full 30 days plus the reintro... if you dont' go completely ape on your holiday then the carb flu and tiredness from the first few days should be minimal...
