Simbasmom
I seem to hit the grocery store every day now...still learning which foods are "safe" and reading lots of labels. I picked up two cans of coconut milk at the local grocery store, and noticed the one with the fewest ingredients and no obvious added sugar, still listed guar gum. Is this another form or sugar or thickener? I still wasn't exactly sure even after googling it. Anyone have any additional info?

Simbasmom
Thank you! I tried searching the forum but nothing came up...I just dug a little deeper and found another mention of it. Phew!!
Delaine Ross
It's allowed. The ones with guar gum aren't as tasty (IMO) as the ones that are just coconut milk but definitely allowed.
Siminigaf
How can guar gum be allowed when it’s made from guar beans (legume)? Just curious
