Cleaning out the fridge/pantry today....

I breezed through Day 1!  I'm trying to keep meals simple because I don't want to find myself obsessing about what I'm eating or not eating.  I had a spinach omelette for breakfast, a salad with tuna for lunch, and pan-fried chicken breasts with mushrooms and tender-stem broccoli for dinner.  All I drank was iced tea.

How did you do? :)

Hi, Cherylm, congrats on getting through day one! Keeping meals simple is a great plan, but do be sure you're adding fat to them. You may have and just not mentioned it, but it's pretty important. Also be sure that you're getting plenty of plain water along with the iced tea.

Day 4 and except for  headache in Day 2, it's been really good!  My husband loves that I'm cooking meat with reckless abandon and hasn't missed the cheese , yet. It feels like I'm spending a lot of time in grocery stores as I'm eating fresh.  I think I can, I think I can..... Health {{{vibes}}} to all!

Hi Cheryl...just thinking about you "across the pond!"  I believe we are both embarking on Day 5?  How is your journey going?  I'm getting the newsletter and was really braced for the worse, given the timeline predictions.  Nothing other than that headache on Day 2.  How are you juggling the non-participating household?  My husband is not 100% on board, but he is actually enjoying the foods I'm fixing for our one common meal in the evening.  It turns out, I was the one who wanted/needed the side carbs with dinner...you know...the pasta, the corn, the rice.  I AM enjoying some potatoes though!

Check in when you can!
