Simbasmom
Oh my gosh....so, I'm on day three, and am enjoying the foods I'm eating, for the most part. But, I find that that at times my food has lost some of it's former appeal, even makes me gag, and feels like it's just "sitting" uncomfortably in my stomach. Honestly, I practiced with some of these meals before starting and never felt this way. And it's not like a hard boiled egg at breakfast or salad for lunch is new for me. Sometimes, I don't even feel hungry. I mean, I feel the need to eat, in my body, but my brain kinda shuts down a little. I plan to push through and do have some great recipes to try, just looking for some feedback or if anyone else felt this way from eating more simple and plain foods. Pretty sure I had a dream about homemade bread too...mmmmm....ha, ha! Thanks
jhcowan
I gagged on almost everything I ate, initially. But that subsided somewhere in the second or third week maybe. It does get easier (though, I too dream of bread!) and cravings definitely lessen too. Good recipes and some variety will help. I just got the Everyday Paleo cookbook and have enjoyed the recipes there. Good luck!
kb0426
You mean I am not alone? I struggled every morning at breakfast and I was someone that ate breakfast every day! Day 12 and it is getting better. Hang in there!
Simbasmom
Thanks, guys! It helps a ton just to know I'm not a weirdo...lol! I love, and I mean LOVE food and eating, so this is hard! Funny, I would crave fresh, whole foods and enjoy them when I "choose" to eat that way, but knowing I have to hold myself to this new standard at each meal is toying with my sub-conscious I think. Looking forward to the relief of making it to double digit days
