guajardocristina
Hey Everyone, My name is Cristina and I started the Whole30 TODAY!! Not bad for the first day... My husband is doing it with me so we'll see how that goes cause he hates most veggies and fruits, so if you have any ideas to help him try more foods that would be great!!! So just a little back round about why we picked Whole30...After going to the doctor I found out I have elevated blood pressure and pre-diabetic, then placed on blood pressure medication. For a 22 year old that's a BIG WAKE ME UP!!! My father and his family has both that runs in his family so I've always worried about it too, but with being young and living life not thinking about anything I gained a lot of weight, ate what ever I wanted, did not work out, planning a wedding, enjoying my wedding, eating what ever I could at my honeymoon... Things got bad. My doctor was the one who recommend Whole30 to me and she plans to help me get off medication and live a healthier life style. And luckily I have an amazing husband who wants to join in and help me get on track again. So if anyone has any suggestions or any ideas that could be helpful please let me know, if not just write me and see how things are going cause I know the next 30 days are going to be CRAZY FOR US!!! AngelEyz
Just wrapping up my second day. It hasn't been without temptation, but it's been manageable. I never thought I'd miss cheese and yogurt this much! I had a low grade headache most of the day, and found myself thankful that I'd eased away from sugar starting at the beginning of the year. From what I've read, the "hangover" can be pretty intense. I'm hoping we both emerge at the other end of this adventure happier, healthier, and with a better relationship with food.
