Dunkin Donuts Egg white veggie patty?

So I'm wondering if anyone knows if the egg white veggie patty from dunkin donuts would be an acceptable 'on the road' 'emergency' protein? Does anyone know what sort of oil they use? I think this would be the deciding factor here. Many thanks! J

You would really need to ask at THE Dunkin Donuts that you're planning on eating it from... every area/region/store could do it different and they can change their ingredients on the fly so even if someone knows what it is for them in their area at one time, that doesn't make it relevant unfortunately.

I did a quick google and couldn;t actually find a list of ingredients anywhere, and when I clicked on the US dunkin donuts link my access was denied - must be a region thing because I can access the UK one but they don't appear to have the product in question.

What I did find was an article about their food in general and it would make me stay well clear of their 'eggs'. Here's an excerpt of the article for you:

Eggs

When you order something that contains eggs at Dunkin’ Donuts, a pre-formed patty is quickly heated and added to the sandwich — at McDonald’s and other fast food places, on the other hand, a real egg is cracked into a mold on a griddle. Obviously, there’s no griddle for frying real eggs at Dunkin’ Donuts, but does the substitute really need to include “natural sautéed flavor”? Here’s the full ingredient list:

“Egg Whites, Water, Egg Yolks, Modified Corn Starch, Natural Sauteed Flavor (Soybean Oil, Medium Chain Triglycerides, Natural Flavor), Salt, Artificial Butter Flavor (Propylene Glycol, Artificial Flavor), Xanthan Gum, Citric Acid, Coarse Ground Black Pepper; American Cheese: Milk, Cheese Cultures, Salt, Enzymes, Water, Dry Cream, Milkfat, Sodium Citrate, Salt, Sorbic Acid (Preservative), Annatto and Oleoresin Paprika Color (if colored), Soy Lecithin (non-sticking agent).”

Natural sautéed flavor?! Omg I had no idea that existed. The incredible inedible 20+ ingredients "egg"!!

The article mentions that "...at McDonald’s and other fast food places, on the other hand, a real egg is cracked into a mold on a griddle."

It might be a real egg at McD's but it's prepared in this chemistry set creation: LIQUID MARGARINE:

Ingredients: Liquid Soybean Oil and Hydrogenated Cottonseed and Soybean Oils, Water, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Salt, Soy Lecithin, Mono and Diglycerides, Sodium Benzoate and Potassium Sorbate (Preservatives), Artificial Flavor, Citric Acid, Vitamin A Palmitate, Beta Carotene (Color).
