MumDee
I have two occasions in the next week that will take me to a Chinese restaurant. HELP! What can I eat? http://www.yenyenma.com/ That is the on on Saturday where I will be at a show first, so I really cannot eat beforehand. http://nancychang.com/ This one is a bit nicer and actually has gluten free options, but I can also eat before this since it's a work meeting ANY and all advice is encouraged and appreciated!!! Crastney
first one looks tricky as they use soy oil for cooking, soy sauce, sugar, and MSG in most things - it does say if you a dietary requirement, to ask, so I suggest you ring them, explain the situation and see if they'll prepare something special. second one looks a lot better bet, as they specifically say there are gluten free choices, again though I'd ring them before hand to confirm that they can cook something special for you. MumDee
Pack a lunch. I think this may be the plan...although, I'll still have to call to see if I can bring food from the outside. I'm also going to see if I can skip the first one altogether.
TryingOver
Chinese food is tricky, especially because soy does not have gluten, so even if a dish is gluten free it could still have gluten free soy sauce/tamari.
