Adshun
I am just getting started today and very excited about the possibilities. Can't clean up the house as much as I would like as I am the only one doing this. Just have to avoid temptation for the next 30 days and see where it takes me. TinaH2016
Wishing you all the best Adam. The best piece of advice - cravings only last about 3 minutes - so find something to re-focus. Your cravings are the toddler, don't let them burn your house down because you didn't redirect them to something constructive.
barbara johnson
I started today also and there are several others. Good luck
Monii_1013
I started today as well. I managed to read through most of the book yesterday, and have given some thought to starting for a while. I decided to start with something simple for the first day, but have quite a bit of grocery shopping to do to stock the house with fruits and veggies. My biggest weaknesses are sugar and creamer in my coffee, sugar in my dressings and bbq sauce, and all kinds of desserts. So I'm really here to kick the sugar habit. Today started with coworkers eating cake at 10:00 AM for a birthday, so it's already been challenging! Best of luck to you and everyone!
Adshun
Thanks all for the replied and for those who started today best of luck. It is going to be an exciting 30 days going forward. Monii_1013 my thoughts are with you when it comes to the hidden sugars like in Sauces and dips. I found out today that the brand of Turkey burgers I buy premade have sugar in them. Also found another supplement I take that has Stevia so sugar and sweets everywhere now that I am paying more attention to the labels.
BecFreeby
I started my third Whole30 today on a whim (which is the danger zone... generally, planning is a freaking MUST for this to work!) and I managed to hold it down. I had a green salad with squash, beets, peas, cabbage and nuts on it. I had soup and another salad for lunch, and compliant applegate turkey, quac, sweet potato, brussels sprouts and blueberries for dinner/dessert. I'm glad there are others out there starting today! I am happy to try to answer anyone's questions, if they have them, or just provide some good old-fashioned support where needed. Any other Oregonians out there? Mairwen
Hi Adam, I started on June first, but am just getting to the forum now. Best of luck. For me— so far, so good. The first day wasn't too bad since I can do anything for a day, but days 2,3, & 4 were tough since I had a low grade headache and was extremely tired each of those days (sugar withdrawals). The last two days have been good: headache gone, energy level good. I haven't really been craving sugar and carbs which is truly remarkable for me, and I feel pretty darn good now. After today, I will have finished one week and although I was a bit skeptical (how could 30 days possibly be life changing?) I am starting to believe that it really can be. Best of luck— hang in there. Mairwen
BecFreeby
How is everyone feeling on day 3? I have the achy, listless joys of withdrawal but so far no headache and I am plugging through. Hope everyone is eating delicious things and feeling motivated, if not entirely great
ChristineMC
I am on day 3 like all of you, and felt better today than I did yesterday -- definitely had that tired, dragging, foggy feeling then. Maybe this is the first time in the 4 1/2 years since I was diagnosed with celiac that it's actually a benefit since there are so many things that I haven't been eating for years! Although sugar has been my problem, and my main motivation for doing this. Continued success to all!

BecFreeby
We are almost through week 1! How is everyone feeling? This time around has been easier for me in terms of physical symptoms, and I've been enjoying cooking and shopping despite a crazy schedule. Also, would like to share an accomplishment! We had a dinner party last night for my husband's (highly respected, big shot) business partner, and we nailed it! All compliant, delicious food and they were none the wiser about it "missing things" because everything was fresh, tasty and varied. That can be hard to do so I am feeling good to be over that hurdle!
JoannaYoung
Hello, I'm Joanna, writing from the North of England. I started last Tuesday, June 7th so thought I'd say hello - hope you are all feeling okay. I felt fine for the first seven days and today I just feel exhausted! Anyone else having similar symptoms? I've also come down with a cold (not sure if it's Whole 30 related or not), urgh. The best bit about this whole diet so far is that it has got me back in the kitchen after years of just buying pasta from the corner shop, I am planning proper meals and as a family we are all enjoying eating better together. Anyway , hope everyone is doing okay and still enjoying it!
