shelley417
Can I have this almond milk from WF? Ingredients: organic almond milk, tricalcium phosphate, sea salt, potassium citrate, Gellan gum, sunflower lecithin, Santayana gum, vitamin A palmitate, ergo calciferol (vitamin D2), DL-Alpha tocopherolacetate (vitamin E). No carrageenan!
Moderators Tom Denham Posted October 6, 2012 Moderators Share Posted October 6, 2012 Nope. A good rule of thumb... if you can't pronounce the ingredients, you should not eat it.
shelley417
LOL! I kinda thought so. But is the WF almond milk better post whole 30 than drinking almond milk with carrageenan? Or should I try dairy milk? Or just stick with the canned coconut milk which I am kinda getting used to.
kb0426
Rumor has it that making your own at home is quite easy, but I must admit I have never tried it. I am adoring the coconut milk in everything!
Delaine Ross
The posts I have been reading tonight have inspired me to get the ball rolling on making almond milk tomorrow (apparently, you have to soak them for a couple of days.) I never really drank it, but it sounds like a fun challenge! http://www.noveleats.com/drinks/raw-homemade-almond-milk/
Sarah Johnson
Tom - why do you say Whole Foods 365 Unsweetened almond milk is not compliant? I checked every ingredient, and I don't see anything that is on the forbidden list. What makes it non-compliant? Water, Organic almonds, Organic locust bean gum, Sea salt, Sunflower lecithin, Tricalcium phosphate, Gellan gum, Potassium citrate, Vitamin A palmitate, Ergocalciferol (vitamin D2), DL-alpha-tocopherol acetate (Vitamin E), Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12). Which of these ingredients are non-compliant? Thanks.
