Busymomma13
Anyone have this? I was freakishly hungry by the time I was able to get my breakfast (had been awake for 90 minutes), but after eating only about a cup of my breakfast hash, I felt satisfied so I put the rest away. Now my tummy is not happy. Side note, I made this hash (bacon, homemade sausage, onion, cabbage, broccoli and eggs) but the leftovers ended up being left in the pan for about five hours. Could it have gone bad?
Administrators ladyshanny Posted June 24, 2016 Administrators Share Posted June 24, 2016 Freakishly hungry and 90 minutes after waking and only eating half a cup of food is a really unfortunate combination. In what way is your stomach not happy? Cramping/hurts? I very much doubt that your breakfast would have gone bad, I am the worst with food safety and I have never had a problem, I would totally eat the food you mention above and not expect to have any problems at all. Busymomma13
It seems to be subsiding...maybe it was from getting up much earlier than normal after only seven hours of sleep...man, I am ready to go back to bed now!

Just felt like lead, like my stomach had decided that it was going on strike. It actually felt a little better after I ate my three bites of homemade, not spicy, kimchi and three oz of homemade kambucha, but the stomach ache returned after (that is when I made my first post). My tummy just feels like I ate too much now, similar to a post Thanksgiving nap time....I am going to try resting for a little while and see if that helps. Thanks for reassuring me that it wasn't food poisoning
Moderators Tom Denham Posted June 24, 2016 Moderators Share Posted June 24, 2016 I'm confused. Your food sat in a pan for 5 hours before you put it away as leftovers? Then you ate it for breakfast? I would never think of eating cooked food that sat in a pan for 5 hours. I had food poisoning once upon a time. It is no joke.

Uh......I am basically the worst with food safety, this wouldn't even make me bat an eyelash.
Moderators SugarcubeOD Posted June 24, 2016 Moderators Share Posted June 24, 2016 Uh......I am basically the worst with food safety, this wouldn't even make me bat an eyelash. Same here... I would probably only go so far as to think 'whoops' and then carry on as per normal...and I too have had food poisoning... I've never managed to poison myself tho with my also less than stellar food hygiene.
