Fitgirl.n.wonderland
I just ended Round 1 a week ago and introduced some things. They did not go over well. I have Hashimoto's and Hypothyroidism but my levels are much more evened out. Could maybe be pms but Im not sure. All I know is it's Day 3 and I'm so bloated. I might have overdone the potatoes a little today. Could that be part of the problem? Portions. I'm also exhausted! But could be from Hashi. Anyone have have a similar sitch? Thanks!!! Moderators ShannonM816 Posted June 25, 2016 Moderators Share Posted June 25, 2016 Some people find that the effects of certain foods they reintroduce last several days, sometimes even a week. If you were particularly sensitive to one of your reintroductions it could just be that. Pms could also cause bloating. You mention overdoing the potatoes, but it would be helpful to know what else you've been eating, including approximate portion sizes. There are items that are fine to eat on whole30, but that some people are sensitive to, like fodmaps. If you give us an idea of what you have eaten, maybe someone will notice something that you could change to help.
Fitgirl.n.wonderland
I have had a busy rushed week so I don't have all the portion sizes and all of the meals written. But I love tomato, cucumber, red onion salad with lots of lemon juice. I've had that maybe twice In fact I have been eating a lot of onions in just about every meal. I also made a broccoli salad with home-made mayo, vinegar/lemon juice. It had more onion, grapes, a little bit of crumbled bacon, lots of broccoli. (I think that might have been one of the culprits for sure!) My greens are usually broccoli, brussel sprouts, asparagus. I eat a lot of avocado and garlic....those types of things. Maybe I need to try some more leafy stuff. The other problem I think I have is a habit of not chewing my food well enough. This round, I have been a little bit busier and in more of a rush and not so obsessed about what I'm going to eat, so I'm paying less attention to chewing and eating a meal than I am to a million other things. So maybe this is a combo of everything? Yesterday I felt sick, but today I feel significantly better. Still feel sort of likes I could go downhill, but not terrible. I definitely think I have some food intolerances to something, but I'm not sure what.

Onions, broccoli, brussel sprouts, asparagus, avocado & garlic are all high FODMAP foods and can cause significant bloating. I'd cut back on all of the above for a week to see if symptoms don't improve. If you've overloaded on FODMAPs and are FODMAP sensitive then you should see good improvement... then I'd reintroduce them one by one to see which foods are most offensive to your gut for going forward.
