longing to learn
I've been on for 6 days and have the same question. Eating out is hard. I try not to but have some events coming up where I won't be able to avoid it.
HollieG
I'll be starting tomorrow as well For eating your best bet would be a salad with no cheese or dressing. Maybe a hamburger without the cheese and buns?
montana722
I've been avoiding eating out (which is hard for me, since I usually eat out or have carryout everyday). There is some helpful info in the book, but basically, ask for your meat grilled, your salads plain, and don't be afraid to ask questions about how things are prepared. There was also a suggestion in the book about searching for restaurants that feature grass-fed beef, etc., as they might be more paleo-friendly. Finally, I did google paleo-friendly/whole30 friendly restaurants and found some lists online that might be helpful. If you're in a larger city, you might have more luck. For me, in cow-town, it's harder. Good luck!!! You can do this!!!
IsabellaJ
I finished R1 last week, and starting R2 today, the 27th (Australian time). I only ate out once during my first round, kind of lost interest in eating out! I had grilled fish and steamed veg when I did eat out. The reason I lost interest is that I can make tastier, compliant sauces and flavours at home .. whereas when I go out i can only have very plain food! So instead of eating out and having a few glasses of wine, I focused my energy and time on meditation, mindfulness and yoga events. Key for round 1 for me was planning and prep. So I will continue with the same approach for Round 2 .. so I'm just about to do some bulk prep .. compliant paleo recipes for Butter Chicken/Veg and also Chicken Kofta and Veg curry. Good luck everyone starting on June
