Michelle Andotra
Hi! Brand new Whole30 gal here. Not gonna lie, a tad intimidated by this change of lifestyle but also very hopeful and excited that it will bring about good results for me, both physically and mentally. My weight has been increasing, my moods getting worse and overall I've simply been feeling very lethargic and unmotivated. I have two young children and I want to feel the opposite for them even more than for myself. Will welcome with open arms any advice, encouragement, words of wisdom and recipes others are willing to pass along...I'm a busy full-time working mom so time will be my biggest challenge. melsboys
Welcome! I remember being so intimated when I did my first Whole30 last year. In all fairness, it was nowhere near as horrible as I thought it was. I went from feeling like absolute crap to feeling amazing. Read up on what to expect at each point during the 30 days. For myself, it was pretty much dead on, lol. I work full time as well and am a single mom of 3 boys. The biggest piece of advice I can give you is to prep, prep, prep! When you're making a meal, make extra to freeze or to have for lunches later in the week. I will make up a large baking sheet of roasted potatoes and another of roasted veggies at the start of each week to get me through all or part of the week. Having compliant foods on hand and ready will save you on those days when you are tired or rushed. Good luck!
