CBP2016
Hello everyone,I've chosen August 2nd as Day 1. I'm 54, in need of losing 30-40 pounds. I take meds for high blood pressure, and trying to rid myself of an unexplained rash on my thigh, which started 1 year ago. Want to lose enough weight to get back to exercising without injuring myself. If anyone needs an accountability buddy or some support, just give a big shout out. I could use a buddy too!So far I've read It Starts with Food and I've purchased the book The Whole30 which I'm currently pouring over. I have already cut out dairy. The other stuff I cut out 4 years ago following a low carb lifestyle. My next big move is to quit drinking wine. I'm easing into this and really looking forward to the life changing aspects of this way of eating. Wishing everyone a very healthy and happy outcome! Artistcam
Hi. I finished my w30 about 6 weeks ago and have been trying different foods since but mostly w30 foods. I had a lot of improvements by the end of 30 days, but my blood pressure stayed that same until this week, so don't be discouraged if it takes longer than a month. I am on minimal meds but plan to stop them with my doctors blessing if blood pressure continues to be normal. Good luck. Have fun trying new foods. KeithWard
I'm doing Whole30 (day 9 now) for similar reasons: my blood sugar is in diabetic levels. I don't need medication yet, and hope to avoid that step, hence Whole30! It's been mostly good for me so far. I'm blogging about it on my website, if you'd like to check it out. It's a detailed blog, and I hope it helps others get a sense of what it's like (at least for me) to be doing the Whole30 thing.
