balancedbrunette
Hi all, so I just recently had minor surgery and am just getting back into workouts, so I'm doing a fair amount of low-intensity cardio (i.e. fast walking and low impact running machines) and did ~70 minutes today. I knew I wanted to be active today, so I had a large meal 2 in the hopes that I would forgo a snack because I'm really trying to stick to 3 meals a day, but I was starving after my workout and had an Rx Bar...it felt like cheating. Salty, sweet, and chewy - it is exactly like a lot of what I'm trying to eliminate. Here's where I need your help! Next time I get super post-WO hunger, what do you recommend? I was thinking of trying a hard boiled egg, but what are your favorite post workout snacks (that don't ruin the next meal)?
Moderators Tom Denham Posted July 5, 2016 Moderators Share Posted July 5, 2016 It sounds like you have not read the guidelines about meal planning. Start there... How much to eat http://whole30.com/downloads/whole30-meal-planning.pdf
balancedbrunette
I did, but wasn't doing a lot of exercise at the time so didn't pay much attention. Thanks! Do you have a go-to PWO meal?
Administrators ladyshanny Posted July 5, 2016 Administrators Share Posted July 5, 2016 Any lean protein and starchy veggie will work for POST. Any protein fat combo will work for PRE. You're free to meander through the Athletes part of this forum, there are lots of discussions about this very thing.
