cknowlesmaine
Alright - day 11, and I think I slipped. I was serving hummus at work (literally have to serve others food I can't eat at times) and I licked my finger without even thinking about it, which had hummus on it. SHIT! My question - since this wasn't a conscious slip (i.e. I didn't think "Just one lick isn't a big deal") Does this count as a slip? Does this equal a restart? Administrators ladyshanny Posted July 11, 2016 Administrators Share Posted July 11, 2016 You can read the "Do I Have to Start Over" article linked below and decide for yourself. Know that your body doesn't understand "accident" vs "intentional" though as far as physiological reset goes.
Staggolee41
Restarting is your choice... The tough love-oriented plan would normally push a restart. While a conscious slip is very different from a subconscious slip, it's still a slip. Were I in your shoes, I'd ask myself a few questions... Did the small amount of hummus I had make me feel a certain way? (if yes, restart for sure) Will I get to the end and feel like I cheated myself or the plan because of this slip? Have the rules really set themselves in my mind if I can make subconscious choices like this? I hope this helps, and that you feel comfortable with what you decide. Good on you for doing a gut check instead of just smoothing it over automatically and pretending like it didn't happen.

I spend my days teaching teenagers to have full control of there actions, so you would think I would at least break the rules on purpose!

cknowlesmaine
Glad to see what choice you made. You can do this!I am to, but unfortunately my girlfriend doesn't have the same view. She doesn't appear to put the same importance on cleaning up her diet unfortunately
