I hate to ask because I'm sure it's in here already but I can't find it. I bought a tomato sauce that has cold pressed extra virgin olive oil in the ingredients, is that approved? I also bought a cashew butter that has sunflower seed oil in it, is that approved? I don't plan on using the cashew butter often so I would have that in limited quantities, but I want to make sure both oils are at least approved before I use either. I know oil in general is not encouraged, but I was hoping it was at a minimum compliant in small quantities. Thanks!

This is not true at all.  Olive oil is an excellent source of fat, use as you please, bearing in mind it has a pretty low smoke point so you don't want to do high-heat cooking with it.

Sunflower seed oil is suitable for occasional use.

I'd recommend you take another read through the rules linked in my signature below.  You might find value in the "Can I Have" article linked there also.
