allie22star
Hello! I am on Day 4 of my first Whole 30! I have so enjoyed the food so far with the exception that I continually feel nauseous while eating breakfast. I'm going to try to fix something that does not involve eggs or olive oil for the next few days just to see if that helps. Has anyone experienced this? Any suggestions? Staggolee41
Maybe start with some (not super-chilled) water to give your stomach a chance to relax?
Administrators ladyshanny Posted July 12, 2016 Administrators Share Posted July 12, 2016 Hello! Before Whole30, did you eat breakfast within an hour of waking? If so, what was it typically composed of? Morning nausea when getting used to eating a protein/veggie/fat breakfast (ie, not something carby or sweet) is pretty common. It's a symptom of your hormones being out of balance and the only way through it is.......through it. Plate up that template meal, eat as much as you can from around the plate (ie, get in all the macros) and then pack it up and take it with you to eat again as soon as you feel able. It won't take long to get used to. And you're right on the mark in trying new things that may be more palatable for you. My personal favourite breakfast is boneless skinless chicken thighs that I had pre-cooked on the weekend. I eat them either warmed or cold with steamed green beans & brocoli and either guac or mayo. Yum!
