Dawnski55
Officially this is day 2 but I ate clean on the day before the official start so it is day three for my body Day one was simple and positive - a new start. Day 2 was literally a headache - settled by re-balancing electrolytes. Day 3 is a day of aches and shakes! I walked into town and back (about 2 miles total) - I am very proud of walking instead of taking the car. I am also proud that when needing a drink and some energy when in town I bought a bottle of water and ate some nuts that I had taken with me in my handbag. Having read a few posts on here, I am now a little concerned that I am eating too much fruit. Today I had an omelette for breakfast which was filled with banana and strawberries ( one small banana and about 6 berries) - I have since also eaten a couple of satsumas. Is there a guide as to how much fruit one should or should not eat in a day?
Moderators Tom Denham Posted July 13, 2016 Moderators Share Posted July 13, 2016 The basic guide you need is here... How much to eat http://whole30.com/downloads/whole30-meal-planning.pdf We recommend limiting fruit to one or two fist-size servings occasionally (as in every other day). The point is to eat veggies and not focus on fruit.
Dawnski55
So, Tom, does that mean I have blown it for the first three days? I thought I was doing ok - I hadn't seen this guide before and didn't realise I was supposed to have those things at each meal. Do I need to start over or can I just carry on? Crastney
my advice would be to start your own thread, and list all the food you've had in 2 (or 3) days. we (other people) can then trouble shoot what you've had, and offer expert advice (again, other people) on any adjustments that might be necessary. Whole30 compliant is not the same as Whole30 healthy best possible food options..

I wouldn't say you've blown it. I think you should continue on and then towards Day 30 decide if you want to tack on 3 more days at the end to make up for the extra food you've eaten in the beginning. Always do the best you can and don't beat yourself up if you've had a larger size portion than what is suggested. Apart from eating a bowl of pasta or using sugar, mistakes can happen, but keep going and don't give up! You're already doing great by taking the steps to start this meal plan
