bfraczek
Can I eat French fries or something? If so what do I fry them in especially if I'm out to eat what do we ask?
JulieP757
You can eat potatoes that you shallow fry in an approved oil - no deep frying. I sincerely doubt you will find compliant french fries when dining out. All will likely be deep fried and most will be cooked in soybean oil. You would ask how they are fried and in what oil - and what they used for seasoning. Moderators SugarcubeOD Posted July 13, 2016 Moderators Share Posted July 13, 2016 There is no such thing as a compliant restaurant made french fry. The only way is to cut the potato into fries and bake them at home or pan fry. Commercially available (including restaurant) french fries are not okay regardless of the oil they're cooked in. Please refer to the link above for the official position on potatoes.
