Need to up your fat?

Do you need to add more fat, but are reaching for the nuts a little too often? Are you tired of boring old chicken and veggies again? Well, here's your fatty flavor bomb salvation. This stuff is good with any meat and any veggie. It's not greasy, it's not heavy, and it adds so much flavor to your dish. I highly recommend this for anyone who needs to eat more fat.

Side note- I do not recommend cooking or sauteing with this. It's more of a sauce or spread you can put on already prepared food.

Ingredients
  1. 2 medium avocados, ripe, peeled and pitted
  2. 1 tablespoon lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  3. 4 tablespoons ghee, softened, but not melty
  4. 1 clove garlic, minced
  5. 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped
  6. 2 teaspoons cumin
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients in a food processor and process until smooth.
  2. Spoon the mixture onto a sheet of parchment paper and shape into a log.
  3. Refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours. Slice and serve as needed!
  4. Store for up to three days in the refrigerator or a week in the freezer.

This is an adaptation from Alton Brown's recipe for Avocado Compound Butter which I've used many a time pre-Whole 30.
