Starting 2nd Whole30 on July 17!

Hello!  I am Sharon, 58 years old, starting my 2nd Whole30.  I did a month last August, and felt great!!  Ihad been pretty good about sticking with a basically Whole30 diet since then.

However, in the past few months, I have gone way over to the "dark side", feeding my Sugar/Carb Dragon whenever she reared her head, drinking too much alcohol (there is always a social setting, friend gathering, beach day to make an excuse to have another glass of wine! )and generally feeling sluggish and out of sorts.

I am used to being physically active, and try to walk/run, golf, swim as often as possible, but I feel my metabolism sliding, my energy flagging, and just generally don't feel good about myself.

SO!!  I just woke up late last week and said "enough!".  I know what to do to get back on track, so here I am!!

Looking forward to this month with support!  I didn't sign up for the forums or as a member last go-round, because my husband was doing the Whole30 with me, and felt I could do it alone.

This time, I want to keep myself on track and focused, and thought I could use the support for those tough days and tough situations.

Here we go!!   :D

Hello! I am Suzanne, 53 years old, and this is my first whole 30.  I'm pretty excited to have made it to day 4!!!  I started on July 15.  I understand the sluggish and out of sorts feeling you described and I am finally doing something about it!

I have 5 kids, all but one are adults, so now I am putting myself at the front of the line for a while.  My goal is to be able to bring some control in my eating habits and hopefully get back the energy that I once had.  I'm curious about the reintroduction phase of the program to see if certain foods are causing problems for me.  Losing a couple of pounds  would be nice, but that's not the main goal for me.

I have always been active, jogging, swimming, camping, etc, but a shoulder injury and plantar fasciitis  have sort of sidelined me for a couple of months.  I still keep up with fitness with water aerobics classes.

I've never stuck with a "diet" before........... I'm 4 days in and, so far, so good!

I'll partner with you if you want!   We could probably relate with our lifestyles.

I'm on Day 2 and doing okay but know there will be some rougher times ahead.

We have a wedding Saturday, I do outdoor concerts, etc, so staying compliant is a chance to plan ahead!

How are you doing?  Hanging in there?  I hope so.

Today is day 6 for me and I powered through this morning starting with a friend over for coffee, and my son's friends  spent the rest of thee day.  I managed to serve cinnamon rolls with this morning's brunch.  Pizza for the kids for lunch.  Somehow, I stayed on track!!! I'm not  sure how.......
