sylsue
I am confused regarding cold cuts, are roast beef of turkey from the deli considered approved?
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted July 22, 2016 Moderators Share Posted July 22, 2016 It depends on the ingredients in them. It's very hard to find deli meats that don't have sweeteners or carrageenan or other off plan ingredients, but if you do find one that doesn't have those, it's fine to have. Moderators Tom Denham Posted July 22, 2016 Moderators Share Posted July 22, 2016 You should not waste your time looking for cold cuts that are Whole30-compliant. Your time is better spent improving your cooking skills to feed yourself with meat from a whole chicken or a roast that you cook yourself. You will also save a lot of money. Even when cold cuts are compliant - and there are few - they are second-rate food.
firestorm531
If there is a Costco in your neck of the woods, they have a brand of turkey breast that is compliant. Yes, we're all improving our cooking skills but sometimes its nice to just have salad with some sliced deli meat on it o.O
