jbrummond
Hi everyone! Kinda new here but I have a quick question. I remember reading in the book about foods that don't contain soy/wheat/etc, but have the disclaimer on them about being made in the same facility as items containing soy/wheat/etc. Now, I can't for the life of me find it in the book again! (I know...I could go back and read the book word-for-word again but I'm trying to grocery shop after work and won't have time for that before then.) So, what are the guidelines for those foods? Help! (Thanks, too!)
Administrators ladyshanny Posted July 26, 2016 Administrators Share Posted July 26, 2016 If you are deathly allergic to an item that is made in the same facility as the food you are going to eat (ie, people with peanut allergies), then I would steer clear. If you are simply eating a food that is compliant but says "processed in a facility that also processes xyz-noncompliant", you can go ahead and eat the compliant item. This is just a legal disclaimer and an alert to people with fatal allergies.
