leslie706
I am on Day 3 of Round 2 of my Whole30. I did have a question regarding veggies at every meal though. Are onions considered a vegetable? For example, this morning I spiralized an entire red onion and sauteed it in ghee and balsamic vinegar and added about a half cup of mushrooms and served with sliced steak that I had grilled the night before. Does this satisfy the vegetable requirement?
jmcbn
Yup, onion is a vegetable - and a very nutritious one at that.Just be wary of going overboard as MANY people develop a sensitivity to them with over-exposure, but for now you're good to go As an aside I'd probably have added a WHOLE cup of mushrooms too.... leslie706
Thanks for your reply! I'm with you on the mushrooms, but I was out after that half cup. LOL. Time to make a trip to the store
Jan and Gary
Love chopped onions on top of my Taco Salad. We are on day 1. Loved the sweet potato hashbrowns this morning. We will be out tomorrow. So breakfast will be boiled eggs and sausage on the run. Plan on stopping for lunch where we can have a salad and grilled chicken and we are taking our own dressing. Wish us luck.
