jenlaible
I am currently 39 weeks pregnant and eat pretty "clean." I'm very interested in starting the Whole30 after I have the baby to focus on my health, clear up my skin, improve my energy levels, lose baby weight, etc.. How soon would you recommend starting after having the baby? 6 weeks? Right away? Something else?I will also be breastfeeding and plan to start exercising at the 6 week mark. Thanks! Link to comment
Karen_Suep
I'm a little over two months postpartum and I haven't started yet, mostly because a lot of things have happened that added more stress than adding another kid to the mix. I try to still follow the template event though I'm not whole 30 at the moment (that means I eat template meals with mostly compliant ingredients and limit snacking to mini meals and I stick to the higher end of the fat content). I was going to start in June but... Having a 2 week old and doing whole 30 was a bit more than I can handle. The current plan is August and my husband is keeping me accountable:) 6 weeks might be a good start time for some people, but if you find you're having a bit of a harder time adjusting to life with this kid, don't be afraid to delay it a couple of weeks or months until you have a little better control and less stress. (But don't delay indefinitely if W30 is on the agenda!!) Link to comment
MrsStick
When you feel ready to. I had several months of "holy crap how are we going to survive this" after little Twig got here and will do my first W30 postpartum when he's between 6 and 7 months. Granted we're currently in the middle of moving from Korea to the US and still haven't gotten our stuff yet...if I had it I could probably do one now but it'll still be a bit before we can make it work.
