skeslack
I'm doing fine as far as the actual food, template, portions, etc, and definitely see improvement, but I feel like I'm either cooking, prepping, cleaning, or thinking about food all the time? Does this get better?
GlennR
You get better at it. But if you use the program to make any kind of long-term changes, food will always be a matter of some effort and mindfulness. As it should be.
Guest
Think of it like starting a new job. When you first start all the stuff is new and you have alot to learn, so you spend ALOT of time getting up to speed. This dietary change is like that. Once you get into a place where you have some "go to" recipes things will start easing up. Food obession will NOT be a permanent part of any healthy diet, but like Glenn said YOU get better and find a new balance. It took YEARS to become an expert at abusing your body! Its going to take a little time learning how to feed it and treat it right. Trust me when I say I am right there with you and understand completely! Dawnski55
Ah yes - the prep! (and the associated dirty dishes!) Just remember that it is acceptable to use pre-prepped veg I am happy to use frozen veg without any additives, and particularly frozen veg mixes such as the stir-fries obviously if you are trying to eat all organic then this is not so much of an option. Also, remember to batch cook - then you can freeze or refrigerate extra portions to save having to cook at every meal time What I wouldn't give for a dishwasher!!!! skeslack
Thank you everyone. I can see that I am already getting a little better at prepping and I am also enjoying dishwashing time as "downtime" or mindfulness and meditation. I am trying to stay present with the whole process and that helps. I will say this, my kitchen is ALWAYS clean because I'm always cleaning!
