Hello!

My name is Christi and I am a 24 year old, totally exhausted female with chronic headaches, fatigue, and irritability. However, I"m also a wife, a daughter, ridiculously silly, and lover of all things outdoors. Basically, I'm your typical complicated, fun-loving human.  I want to keep a detailed journal of my journey and progress so that I can look back and really see the progression of wellness from start to finish. Tonight I cleaned out my entire house of all foods that could potentially trip me up, which in hindsight was not the best idea as I now  have no food for tomorrow......thus the later start date. I've created a two day meal plan off of the provided 7 day meal plan provided by W30 and am so excited to start on Tuesday!

Goals for Tomorrow:

-Stay hydrated! At least 2 liters

-Go grocery shopping for Tuesday/Wednesday

-Try not to eat too terribly for the day before the plan begins

Meal plan

Tuesday:

Breakfast: Spinach Fritatta (Note to self, look up a good substitute for Avocado, it's a texture thing.)

Lunch: Protein salad on baby spinach with w30 ranch dressing

Dinner: Ground turkey with roasted spaghetti squash and tomato sauce.

Water Water Water

Wednesday:

Breakfast: Leftovers from dinner

Lunch: Protein salad with carrot and apple slices and w30 ranch

Dinner: Seared chicken breast with red pepper mayonnaise, roasted vegetables, and green cabbage slaw.

Water Water Water

I'm a little nervous to start this program for a variety of reasons. 1. I've never really been successful at any program. I am the model example of no self-control or stick-to-it-ness. 2. My husband is already complaining about the lack of his favorite foods awaiting him in the future. 3. A stressful job that provides candy and chocolates. 4. Overall exhaustion and lack of prep time.

SO, just as the book recommended here are me if/then's to help me stay on track. 1. If I start to feel doubtful of my ability to make it, then I will journal or revisit the posts I've written to remind myself of how successful I've been so far. 2. If my husband starts to make it difficult for me to stay on track, have an open discussion with him about how much this means to me and how I need some help to accomplish it. 3. If I'm feeling overwhelmed and stressed at work, I will take a walk on the trail just outside rather than eating the chocolate/candy provided. 4. This is the one I'm stumped on. When i'm feeling exhausted it's hard to be motivated to do anything. Maybe enlist husband to help? This seems to be the lynch pin to my destruction.

Heres to a hopefully productive 30 days!

Hi Christi, if you are wanting to keep updating this thread as a journal, I can move it to the Whole30 Log section of the forum so that it can be your own personal record to look back on.  Let me know if you want me to do that for you.
