Melany Anderson
I bought a these snack size bag of nuts from Trader Joes. It has all nuts we can eat a well as a few raisins. I realized the raisins have canola oil. Do you think I'd be ok if I pick the raisins out of the package or should I just not eat the nuts either. Thanks! Moderators Tom Denham Posted May 7, 2012 Moderators Share Posted May 7, 2012 I would eat all of it, but never buy them again. Of course, I sometimes eat fish fried in canola oil at one of my favorite restaurants even though canola oil is not good for you. Also, you could probably save money making your own trail mix and avoid oils you don't want.
Melany Anderson
I should add this is my first day of whole30! You still think its ok?? I have 20 bags of them LOL.
Moderators Tom Denham Posted May 7, 2012 Moderators Share Posted May 7, 2012 If the oil associated with the raisins is all you eat for the next 30 days, your body will be fine. If you would feel better about setting those 20 bags aside until you complete the Whole30, that would be fine too, but I wouldn't judge your program to be impaired if you eat them.
