Wendy K
Hey all! I'm so glad to have found this forum because of the peer support and extra information available. I was almost successful at a Whole 30 last summer but fell off at a family cookout on about day 23. And, sadly, a little more than a year later I'm finally starting again. But... I'm starting again! My biggest downfall is sugar. I'm going to work really hard to slay the sugar dragon for the full 30 days this time and I need support! I'm also hopeful that eating well will help alleviate the general malaise, achiness, and mental fog I seem to have. I also look forward to cheering everybody on over these next weeks and wish you all the strength and endurance to finish strong and continue the path to better health! jlk1980
Good luck! The sugar dragon is the worst! But I found that just white-knuckling through it is really the best way in the long run. Pre-Whole 30, when I'd try to cut back on sugar, I'd do all the little tricks like having raisins or sugar free yogurt instead of ice cream or candy. They ended up doing nothing. I'm a huge sugar addict and now I'm coming up on 40 days without any added sugar! You can do it!
