LexiT
I started my reintroduction over the last ten days after a full Whole30. i already suspected before the program that dairy was an issue for me. First thing I introduced was a protein snack I used to love which had whey powder in it - which gave me stomach cramps within an hour. A small ice cream lolly two days later did exactly the same thing, plus nausea. I'm planning on avoiding this permanently. Over the weekend I introduced more sugar - a few squares of dark chocolate, home made fruit ice lollies with a teaspoon of maple syrup and some home made dairy free mousse with maple syrup. I had no obviously intolerant reactions. I also had some good wine which made me feel more affected than I used to but didn't cause any other real reactions. This week I tried a small bit of home made granary bread one day, nothing obvious but I just didn't enjoy it that much. I also tried peas and peanuts, both of which made me bloated and uncomfortable. so it seems the digestive symptoms are pretty clear/quick to show but my second question is this - I have a cold, but have noticed I feel really tired also, more than I have since week 1 of the program. Do you think this is the cold, a reaction to the foods that didn't suit me(legumes/dairy) or a blood sugar reaction? I thought I was being quite careful with my reintro but I am now not sure if this is something I should be concerned with. I don't want to freak out but also don't want to go back to feeling like rubbish! Any advice appreciated
Moderators Tom Denham Posted August 24, 2016 Moderators Share Posted August 24, 2016 I don't know how to distinguish between tiredness from a cold and the blah feeling foods that disagree with you might produce. You probably need to do more reintroduction testing after you no longer have a cold.
