greymont14
I have also started today. I have done one successful W30 3/16. The most notable thing for me was improved sleep and disappearance of hot flashes!!! There were so many other great results like flat stomach, clothes fit great, looked energized, looked younger! In the last month I have eaten unhealthy and I feel like crap again, achy, swollen, overtired, etc. I am very excited to successfully complete my 2nd W30. I am even more excited to continue it or close to it after reintroduction is complete. This is a great way of life with great results if you stay with it 100%..... I hope y'all enjoy it as much as I do.
MaryCB
Hope everyone did well yesterday. I'm afraid I was one of those people who gorged myself the day before I started. So I'm still recovering from that. I know from past experience that it will take me another day or two to get cravings really bad just because I overdosed on all things food and junk! Good luck today!
djoyce
I started on the 29th (one day late) and this is my 10th W30 (got to start on a Monday!!!). The program is great (with challenges of course) and well worth the effort. I know about overdoing it the day before starting. Last night I had a nightcap of sugary ice tea and a frosted cinnamon bun. Happy to leave the crap food (and the crap feeling) behind for at least a month or so!!! glickster75
I did a W30 a little over a year ago, but I didn't stick the landing. Instead, I ended it on Independence Day weekend and I jumped right back in with homemade ice cream. Ugh! I was able to maintain some good habits for a while after that, but then I injured my hip in October and had surgery in January. Between all the inactivity and some really well-formed, long lasting food habits I went right back to eating junk food all the time like it was going out of style. So, I decided I needed a reboot, and that W30 was just the ticket. I started yesterday and, this time, I plotted out 40 days to include the reintroduction. And, I decided to use the forum for more support this time. (Oh, and in the spirit of full disclosure, I also decided to go out in a blaze of glory with a full on Italian meal complete with alcohol and dessert on Saturday evening.) From my prior experience, I can definitely say I felt much better overall when I wasn't eating all the crap. And, I have an autoimmune (Psoriatic Arthritis) and can attest that the inflammation is much better controlled when I eat real, whole food. Good luck everyone! MaryCB
How was day 2 ?! I was extremely tired and sleepy yesterday afternoon. I don't know what that was about, but I hope it doesn't hit me again today. I was hungry all day, too. So, I ate a few nuts and grapes in between meals to tide me over. Today I am eating more at my meals to see if that helps keep the hunger at bay. And mostly I've eaten salads just because I bought some good mixed lettuce that I love. Tonight I am going to eat roast which I have in the crockpot now and some fresh spinach that I am going to cook. I sure wish I had all of my dad's fresh vegetables from his garden again. That would be awesome right about now. Hope you all have a great day today!!!
glickster75
Hey everyone! I've done a poor job at staying involved in this thread, but I hope everyone is still doing great here on Day 22! Congrats on making it this far. I've done pretty well and am feeling pretty good overall. I have discovered that I love nutpods dairy free creamers for my coffee and the Pedersons Natural Farm bacon is ahhhh...mazing (I found it at Sprouts). I just ordered some rxBars to have for, the crazy work days where I miss lunch. And, I have tried a new to me fruit called kiwi berries. They're delicious!! Best to everyone in the home stretch and for the reintroduction!!
