Guest
Where can I get a w30 compliant vitamin D supplement in the UK? Happy to buy online.
jmcbn
Bulk Powders sell one that is compliant.http://www.bulkpowders.co.uk/vitamin-d3-tablets-5000iu.html?view=ppc&pid=2821&ppc_img=ZPL10&gclid=CMLqvI_t6M4CFYgV0wodNrMBnQ That said, if you are eating plenty of fatty fish (like mackerel, sardines & salmon for instance), eating eggs regularly and including mushrooms & beef liver (or red meat in general) you may well be getting enough from your diet, even with our UK climate. Do vitamin D supliments help with this?
Karen_Suep
My guess is yes. I think it's along the same lines as the SAD light that I'm assuming helps your body produce vitamin d during shorter and darker days. I'm not a doctor and could be totally wrong. It's very unlikely that you can get enough vit D through food to raise your vit D levels if you are deficient. 3oz of salmon has ~750 IU, an egg yolk has ~40 IU, so if you are vit D deficient and don't plan on eating 100 egg yolks a day or 12 oz salmon every day, you probably need supplementation and lots of sun.
