tbrundage
I am on day 30 and for the past week I have been feeling more tiered then I have since week 1 of my whole 30. I have been sticking to my whole 30 foods, water only to drink, a little exercise (walking 30 minutes every other day), and I am getting about 7-8 hours of sleep a night. I was feeling great and alert on weeks 2 and 3 but this past week I am feeling physically good but I really just want to take a nap. Any idea what happened? Any suggestions? Administrators ladyshanny Posted August 30, 2016 Administrators Share Posted August 30, 2016 How did your eating change? Did your portions get smaller? Are you near your period (if you're a woman)? Do you have any other stress going on? Are you sleeping well?
tbrundage
my portions have stayed the same, or have even gotten a little larger winch is good for me, and my eating has been consistent. But I did just end my period.... it could be possible that I am always this tiered after my cycle and have never really noticed because I was always tiered. My stress level is the same and I think I am sleeping well, at lease I don't wake up in the middle of the night that I know of. I guess I can give it a week and see if things balance back out. I was just afraid it was something I was eating or maybe not eating. Thanks

We could give you more specific feedback if you wanted to list a day or two of what your typical meals look like, including approximate portions sizes and specific vegetables. In general, not eating enough, not eating enough fat, or not salting your food can cause tiredness. The amount of starchy vegetables you're eating can play a role too -- we recommend most people try to have a fist-sized serving of some kind of starchy vegetable each day, and people who are very active, who are prone to depression or anxiety, or women who are nursing, pregnant, or in the week or so leading up to their period often need more than that. And of course, as you said, it could be something to do with your cycle more than your food, so waiting it out could be a good option.
