jillmynatt
I am curious if anyone has tried freezing the Butternut Squash Soup recipe found in the Whole30 book on p. 266. If so, did it freeze okay? What did you do? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Administrators ladyshanny Posted August 31, 2016 Administrators Share Posted August 31, 2016 I haven't made that exact one but I freeze soup all the time. The only time I used to run into trouble is with cream based soups because it would separate. For freezing I'll do in mason jars (leave 1-2" headroom at the top), ziploc bags, or leftover plastic containers (I know, bad). Set out in the drain tray in the morning and it's defrosted and ready to reheat by dinner. I do find the best reheating of soups to come when you do it in a pot on the stove, not in the microwave.
