I had everything so I made these. I wasn't sure about the wine vinegar (didn't have it anyway) so I used apple cider vinegar. They were great. Thank you. Babsie95
Day 67, 68, 69, 70 Kinda a blur...i have felt awful everything I eat anything like really bad pain cramping and diareah. I don't know what all I have eaten but I'm hasn't been the best. The reason foe feeling icky I think is that I ran out of Prevacid and couldn't get it filled quickly so I think I have been suffering rebound. I am planning to clean up my eating and keep journaling
Babsie95
day 71 I actually brought my meal 1 and 2 to work as usual and I actually forgot to eat M1 M2: tuna salad, cucumber, sea snax and coconut
Babsie95
M3: have an Indonesian chicken dish in the crockpot. It has peanuts but to make it compliant would just sub with a different nut butter. I plan to serve this with compliant mashed potatoes So if my plan is followed I will have an almost clean day

LydiaJo
Have you had this kind of pain before? Have you checked in with your doctor?
Babsie95
Yeah unfortunately its not uncommon for me...I ran out of a medicine (prevacid) and missed a couple of days. I'm pretty sure its a rebound effect of too much stomach acid. I take several medications for IBS and am going to be talking to my doctor soon about if I can reduce or discontinue some or all of them. As far as things that effect digestion I seem to be pretty fragile and take a while to stabilize when something if off. It really kinda sucks but its what I have to deal with so... Babsie95
Last night ended with my fallback meal of hashbrowns, bacon and fried eggs Day 74 I am finally feeling back to "good" normal after the medication stuff throwing things terribly off Meals are sketchy today as we are having a Mexican themed celebration at work M1: forgot (I just don't feel hungry like I used to so am having to learn my bodies new signals to remind me to eat) ate a large handful of coconut and had two cups of coffee M2: will report more on this after I know what I choose from the "Mexican Thanksgiving" spread I will try to choose things that I would really enjoy and are hopefully worth it but will also try to be reasonable
Babsie95
M2: Mexican rice, 2 tamales, 2 small tacos on corn tortillas, Mexican salad, on bite enchilada casserole (not worth it) Chips, homemade salsa and guacamole. I also chose to have 2 chocolate chip cookies and a small serving of tres leches cake(one of my favorites). I will probably post a bit later on how I am feeling and if it was still worth it. This is the first potluck type celebration meal and the first dessert since before my 30 in September so...

M2: steamed broccoli, Indonesian chicken with mashed potatoes (last of leftovers) M3: unknown
Babsie95
day 76 baked potato pizza, coffee drink, snack food plus grits for supper Day 77 no meal 1 chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes steak with baked potato popcorn, cashews Day 78 no meal 1 don't know about M2 M3: baked salmon with kimbap I am sliding down the slope but still feel kinda in control. I will be out of town for thanksgiving and have little control of my eating. So I will likely keep sliding. However I am planning to do a mini reset after thanksgiving and before Christmas I am hoping that will keep me from losing all of the progress I have made. Babsie95
wow the slope is slippery. Its scary how fast it is to become out of control of food choices regardless of knowing how it will effect me. I am planning a mini reset and hope to get things back into control. I like feeling good and I like what I eat when I feel good so why is it then hard to do.... I will try to start and keep posting food regardless of my choices as it helps to keep me honest with myself and motivated to continue working towards health. it is hard for me to not attach guilt to food and that is simply not healthy in any way. Babsie95
So I didn't do as badly as I could have on the thanksgiving trip but I did make some choices I probably shouldn't have (read pancakes at IHOP) I didn't do too much dessert though. I do think I learned something and the hard way. I find that since my last 30 I get "hangry" I really need to eat by the clock because I don't feel hungry. I am starting to think that this is further complicated by gluten. I am finding that consumption of gluten seems to increase feelings of anxiety by well...a lot to the point I really think it changes my personality in a terrible way. I didn't really see the difference until it crept back in in small amounts over a couple of weeks but now I clearly see the difference. I do not like who I become. I think I have also pinned my joint pain and stiffness to this as well. I truly hope I am learning enough to make more permanent changes. I wish that it didn't seem so hard. Babsie95
back to tracking (not perfect whole 30 but want to be very close) but not gonna number days till I make it official for at least a mini reset...(ok overall today is day 85 but will have a second number set when official. Somehow seeing the number rise is motivational) M1: tuna salad over spinach. Only managed a few bites M2: thai chicken over rice with a side of olives (forgot the zucchini I brought to have with it :-(
Babsie95
I have been thinking about an instant pot. I am curious if anyone uses one and what the favorite recipes/uses are I have also thought about a cuckoo but can't find one with English instructions. Also anyone know how the two are similar or different? just thoughts...

Babsie95
M3 ended up being sushi but was just fish and rice with soy, no cream cheese or fancy sauces Day 87: I have an infection on my leg that is incredibly painful so didn't feel much like eating. I did eat a bit of meatloaf and potato for meal1, Meal 2 I had some soft tacos (corn tortillas) with rice and beans and corn chips M3: I didn't eat much just didn't feel well but did end up eating some gluten free toast with almond butter just so antibiotics were not on an empty stomach Day 88 No meal1: I gotta fix this it is an issue that is getting out of control M2: thai chicken and rice don't know about meal 3. Leg hurts and infection/antibiotics is not making me feel better or helping with energy. Hopefully it won't last long. might have to make myself some soup. Babsie95
today is day 92 M1: beef stew with cornbread (cornbread not whole30 but is gluten free) M2: pineapple chicken, potatoes, carrots, and guac M3: Cuban meatballs, rice, plantain chips, and guac I am mostly whole30 but trying to commit to mostly dairy free and definitely gluten free. Its amazing how much gluten sneaks into. I did a lot of meal prep last night, hopefully it will help...actually I know it will
