decker_bear
I'm not sure if I want to whine or look for support or what ... but either way ... Day 6. Last night Kill ALL of the Things hit briefly and returned with a vengeance this morning. I almost called in sick to work just because I want to kill EVERYTHING. This stage is so appropriately named. But I dragged myself in, I'm here ... I have never experienced this stage so intensely before. I previously called this stage "Irritated By Most of the Things." On top of this I think I'm coming down with a cold. Every nerve is on fire. I feel like crap. I don't even necessarily feel like something off plan would make me feel better - a glass of wine, a Soy Flat White, a bag of dark chocolate peanut butter cups, none of my go-to comfort foods sound the least bit appealing. In fact, I don't want to eat or drink anything. The only thing that sounds remotely appealing is a mug of bone broth, but sadly I haven't made any yet. I don't want to see anyone or do anything or be anywhere. I just hate. all. the. things. Any suggestions? I know this stage is normal, but good h**l this sucks! JulieP757
The worst thing you can do is not eat - it will make you feel worse. Try to eat as much of a template meal as you can. Be sure to use plenty of salt and drink lots of water. Hope you feel better soon!

I was able to get down a couple of eggs and some mashed eggplant (with almond butter and coconut milk). I also had a cup of Crio Bru. This too shall pass, right?? @JulieP757 Salt? What's the dealio with salt?? I love salt, but I'm curious why you would mention that...?
JulieP757
Processed food has a lot of salt in it. When you eliminate processed foods on the Whole 30, you need to be sure to add salt to your foods to keep your electrolytes in balance. Lack of sodium can make you feel like crap Glad you were able to eat something. You should start to feel better soon.
decker_bear
Oh okay that makes perfect sense! I didn't eat a ton of processed food before, but enough that I'm sure it's contributing. Thanks for the tip!
