janer1114
Hi! I feel like on my last Whole30 a year ago, it was a rule that we couldnt eat vegetable oils, but now I see it is just recommended that we do not, but it is permissible occasionally, like at a restaurant or something. Is that so? Wow...that makes excursions out of the kitchen much easier!
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted September 6, 2016 Moderators Share Posted September 6, 2016 Yes, that's the rule for vegetable oils (other than soy or peanut, obviously, as legumes are specifically ruled out on Whole30) -- that's been the rule for, I think forever, definitely for more than a year. Check out the Can I Have list for more information.
Moderators Tom Denham Posted September 6, 2016 Moderators Share Posted September 6, 2016 A lot of vegetable oil is actually corn oil. Like soy and peanut oil, corn oil is never okay. Basically the oil you can eat away from home is canola oil.
